We were tagged in a sorta belated tag (read: VERY belated tag) by one of our favourite bloggers, Jenna at Bookmark Your Thoughts, originally created by Leelynn @ Sometimes Leelynn Reads. While I contemplated leaving this post unit the END of this year it just seemed SO FAR away. In light of that, I’ve decided to celebrate the START of this year by answering questions from my reading in January 2020. Who doesn’t love a great reading month to start the decade off with??

Good As Hell || Favourite Book
Wow, this book you guys! It’s an indie author but this book is gearing up to be the best of 2020 yet. Yes, I’m only half way through and already I’m calling it. Full of action, merfolk lore and a kick-ass heroine this is the book to beat this year. If you haven’t added this to your TBR yet… what are you waiting for? RTC this week!
Green Light Go || Green Cover
I’m gonna take some visual licence here and say this is green. I’m not a colour expert but this to me seems like a combo of green and blue – so in my eyes it counts! Being apart of the Misadventures in the Cage blog tour, this book was a recent read and one that I was quite surprised by. The writing was good and while there were a few extra things I was hoping for with this one, it’s definitely worth a try if you’re a sports and alpha-male fan!
LBD || Sexiest Character
Dally || Best Moment of 2019
Whew! Tessa Bailey has done it again. The sexy, brooding male MC that is Dominic Vega makes this book stand out from the crowd. He’s unassuming, deeply loyal and oh, so tantalisingly sexy. If you haven’t tried the Hot and Hammered series by Tessa Bailey yet you should. Seriously, the series name says it all!
Sin Querer Queriendo || Silly MC (or Side Character)
This is one of the funniest and quirkiest rom-coms I’ve read in a REALLY long time. The side character, Beth is the MC, Remington’s, best friend turned memory-challenged ghost. Yes, you read that right – when Beth dies and leaves Remington her rumoured-to-be haunted house and witchy powers, Remington is thrust in to a world she hadn’t expected. Beth’s whimsical natural, full-on charm and memory-challenged ghost status make for one heck of a dramatic and funny ride in this story. You have to read it to truly appreciate it! RTC this week!
7 Rings || New Books Friends
Nen and I have made so many bookish blogger friends over the past few months of blogging and would love to tag ALL of them here but since we’re focusing on the START of the new decade, we’re going to share a few of the bloggers that we’ve become friends with in the past month. It’s so great to be apart of such a supportive and friendly community! If you haven’t already, check out these blogs! They’re full of interesting posts and great book reviews 🙂
Kill This Love || First Book in 2020
This was not only my first book of the year but also my first time reading anything by Jill Mansell. I absolutely adored it and immediately went and found her back reads to explore more of her writing. Featuring love, drama and friendships this book is perfect for that summer day beach read!
Tag! You’re it!
If you’d like to do this post, feel free! Due to its late nature I’m not going to tag anyone but feel free to bend the (time) rules a little bit and give it a try!
