Hello lovelies!
It’s time for WWW Wednesday! This meme was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm but was revived by Sam from Taking on a World of Words. It’s a place to talk about the books you’ve been reading, plan to read and have read. This week is FULL of ARCs. I’m glad to be progressing through them despite having a few on my plate!

To take part all you have to do is answer the following questions:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What are you going to read next?
Currently Reading
As apart of my healthy ARC addiction (well… almost healthy if you consider I’m JUST ABOUT keeping up with it) I’ve been reading Beneath Cruel Fathoms by Anela Deen and Misadventures in the Cage by Sarah Robinson.
The former, Beneath Cruel Fathoms, is a part of my Indie Author challenge and I have to admit – it’s going well so far. Okay, I’m like 15% in to the book but usually any major issues would be glaring at me by now so it’s a promising sign!
Misadventures in the Cage has also been a positive reading experience so far. There are a few minor issues I’ve had with the story but on an overall note it’s an interesting read and has decent pace! Plus… can we just add that it’s a sports romance. They’re practically crack for me so this week’s reading has been GREAT.
Recently Read

I received this ARC from Book Sirens and was BLOWN AWAY by how cute and funny Hexes and O’s turned out to be. It was sweet, a touch awkward and hilariously quirky. I loved (almost) every minute of it and Lisa Wells is an author I’ll be keeping an eye out for in the future, that’s for sure! Full RTC.
Reading Next
I’m so excited to get my grubby little mitts on these two books! I absolutely adored Tessa Bailey’s Fix Her Up and the second instalment in the Hot and Hammered series, Love Her or Lose Her, has me practically jumping up and down in eagerness!
The next book up on my list is A Dog’s Purpose which is my book club pick for the month. I’M A DOG PERSON and I’ve heard that this one is a tear jerker so I’m preparing myself for some good old fashioned SOBBING in the near future.

Enjoy your reading!
I’m currently resding An ember in the ashes, and now I’m wondering why it took me so long to pick up!

Loving the cover for Beneath Cruel Fathoms. Glad to hear that you’re enjoying both indie novels 🙂 I find indie novels are more miss than hits for me (at least of the ones I’ve read)! I’m keen to check out Love Her or Lose Her too this year, although I still have to read Fix Her Up! Happy reading 🙂

You’re completely right that Indie novels can be a hit and miss. Although I find that to be the case with almost all the books I read 😛 It’s more prevalent in indie novels though as I think a lot of them haven’t gone through a rigorous enough editing and beta reading process. There are still some absolute gems though! I hope you enjoy Fix Her Up! 🙂

Beneath Cruel Fathoms sounds so good. 🙂 I’m never quite sure what qualifies as an indie novel though. Is it just if it’s from a small publishing house or does it have to be self-published?

Hey Tirilu, thanks for the comment and question! I wouldn’t consider myself an expert but as far as I’m aware indie novels can be from both small publishing houses and self-published. Essentially, it’s a novel that hasn’t gone through one of the Top 5 publishing houses or publishing houses with a lot of credibility and impact behind their name 🙂 Jen
