It’s time for WWW Wednesday! This meme was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm but was revived by Sam from Taking on a World of Words. It’s a place to talk about the books you’ve been reading, plan to read and have read. I don’t usually keep track of my reading, except for my Goodreads Challenge, but I’ve found this meme to be really helpful with keeping me on track.
To take part all you have to do is answer the following questions:
What are you currently reading?
What have you recently finished reading?
What are you going to read next?
I’ve been looking forward to The Good Luck Girls for a while now! I received an ARC for this book and I’ve only seen positive reviews on it so far, which is encouraging! I generally prefer to stay away from reviews until I’ve read the book but I couldn’t help myself in this case. Joanna Nicole over at The Geekish Brunette wrote a lovely review for it and I’m keen to find out my own opinions on the story’s romantic and supernatural elements!
I’m currently half way through The Winner’s Curse and I can say with assurance that it’s not a smooth ride. While the writing, pacing and world-building are all pretty good so far the main character Kestrel gets on my nerves SO BAD. Hopefully she has some character growth before the book’s ending. I read a fantastic review of Girls of Paper and Fire by Brittany over at The Book Guru and immediately added it to my TBR! It’s next up on my reading schedule.
This was a pretty great week of reading for me! The lowest review was three and a half stars with The Earl’s Christmas Pearl, which was an adorably festive early Christmas read. These Rebel Waves peaked my rating experience this week with a solid 5-Stars. I cannot wait to read These Divided Shores!
I’ve just finished doing a Buddy Read with the lovely Ngoc over at Nish & Ngoc’s Book Nook so a discussion review of These Broken Stars will be up sometime this week (probably tomorrow if I’m not feeling too lazy haha).
Next up on my ARC list is We Met in December. I was initially attracted to this book by the cute graphic cover and premise that promises a cute, wintery romance. I’ve read some quite mixed reviews on it though (I knowww… I have a weakness when it comes to reading them. Especially considering my dislike of spoilers!).
I Wish You All the Best has been on my radar for a while now and I’m so excited to give it a try! With my fantasy and historical romance phase lately I’ve missed some good ol’ teenage angst, sexual exploration and general goodness. These books usually leave me feeling happy so I can’t wait!
// have you read any of the books on my WWW this week? what were your thoughts on them? //
